Life Center is looking for an experienced Program Coordinator for the supervision and oversight of our Oakland County In Home Support Service program that works with individuals with Developmental Disabilities. This position consists of developing new programs and monitoring current programs throughout the whole Oakland County area. Oversight would also include a small portion of programs in Macomb County area as well. Interested candidates should have minimally two years management experience in a similar related industry, have had successful experience managing employees and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Training in Gentle Teaching and/or having MORC training is a plus!!  This is a Monday – Friday day position with 24 hour on call responsibilities.  Administrative Offices are located in Livonia and Clinton Township.

Interested candidates should possess:
– ability to coordinate supports and services in accordance with the Personal Plan and contract agreement for
people supported
– experience with documentation requirements such as progress notes, Person Centered Plan goal sheets, Incident
Reports, behavioral documentation, Consultation/Referral Forms, MAR’s, mileage logs
– confidence and knowledge handling on-call and crisis calls after hours and on weekends
– experience developing staff schedules within budgeted hours and all aspects of payroll processing
– knowledge of client case files and the proper maintaining of such documents
– experience with initiating community relations and enhancing community integration
– problem resolution and training

Requirements include:
– 18 years or older
– valid driver’s license
– auto insurance
– ability to pass background checks
– minimum two years experience in related field
– MORC /CLS training preferred
– additional training such as CPR/First Aid, Recipient Rights, Infection Control a plus!
